A heartwarming recap of a guided stalk

Andrew had come stalking with Chiltern Sporting over a weekend and had learned a lot over a couple of blank sessions. Meanwhile, the person who had also come stalking with him had struck a great muntjac buck who had responded to a roe call.

Pleased with the whole experience, they had come again and fortunately for Andrew the tables had turned and we were able to lead him onto a roe buck, which he harvested calmly, in a calculated manner. He kindly left us a few heart warming lines for us to share :

I just wanted to write and say how much I have enjoyed the experience of accompanied stalking with you and your team.
From the start, you have provided a steady guiding and knowledgeable hand within an obvious culture of support and encouragement.

As a complete novice, I have really appreciated the step by step approach, from familiarisation with the rifle, safety drills etc, all the way up to taking the final shot and bagging my first roe buck.

I have been particularly impressed by the obvious ethical stance that you take. There is no pressure for a kill at any cost, no sense of rush or hurry - and no hidden fees!

The whole thing has been an experience that will stay with me a lifetime. I can’t commend you highly enough. I hope very much to return next year.
